Daphni - Cherry

Dan Snaith lets the tracks find their own direction on Cherry, his fourteen-track album as Daphni. Recorded over an extended period, the music came together without a fixed concept, with new equipment encouraging quick, intuitive decisions in the studio. Its coherence emerged through sequencing, moving rapidly between ideas while retaining Snaith’s musical fingerprints. 'Arrow', the title track and 'Cloudy' sit among shorter pieces such as 'Falling' and 'Karplus', with 'Fly Away' closing the set. Released on Jiaolong across two LPs, Cherry captures the exploratory side of a project shaped by both studio work and DJing.
