About this release
Dave Lee and Detroit singer Maurissa Rose connect disco, soul, R&B and soulful house on London / Detroit. Written and recorded together at Lee’s London studio, the album ranges from slower street soul to boogie and more uptempo club rhythms. “You Decide” opens with rippling synths, “What About My Love” revisits the Johnnie Taylor song, and “I Feel The Sun” raises the tempo. Maurissa’s voice runs throughout, giving the varied arrangements a common thread. This gatefold double LP presents eleven tracks, including the vinyl-only Redemption Dub of “All Around The World” alongside the song’s original version.
