About this release
Desire’s debut album brings Megan Louise’s vocals together with Johnny Jewel’s production and Nat Walker’s synthesizer and drum work. Originally released in 2009 on Italians Do It Better, II places melodic electronic songwriting in a dreamy, retro-styled setting. French and English song titles run through a sequence that includes Don’t Call, Under Your Spell and Colorless Sky, with the longer If I Can’t Hold You leading into Part II. The trio’s combination of synthesizer-led arrangements, measured rhythms and direct vocal melodies connects synth-pop with disco-influenced electronic music. This reissue presents the eight-track album on baby pink vinyl.
