About this release
Dino Lenny makes his Rekids debut with Not About The Volume, joined by Tiger Stripes on remix duties. The original places a distinctive vocal at the centre of a looping groove, with jazz-inflected accents punctuating the rhythm. Tiger Stripes changes the balance with a new bassline, faster drums and more prominent synth parts, taking the track in a more hypnotic direction. The pairing brings two contrasting arrangements of the same material to the 12 inch: Lenny's vocal-focused original on one side and the Tiger Stripes rework on the other. Released on Radio Slave's Rekids label.
