About this release
Tom Sharkett contributes three tracks to the eighth Discotecas release, following his rework of LCD Soundsystem’s Home for DFA. Certamente leads the A-side with a repeating vocal hook set within a house arrangement, followed by an instrumental version that shifts attention to the rhythm and melodic backing. Pinballed takes the reverse into a deeper, slower groove, with a low-slung approach to the dancefloor. Together, the two versions of Certamente and the contrasting B-side connect Sharkett’s production work with the Discotecas series’ interest in relaxed house rhythms and Balearic textures.
