About this release
DJ Sotofett & The Colours Of Computer Generated Instruments explores electro through a playful mixture of analogue and digital synthesis. Released on Clone West Coast Series, the double LP moves between acid textures, electronic pop and more abstract rhythmic pieces, drawing on the character of 1980s game-console sound. Brief interludes sit beside longer tracks, with Take Me To A Silent Place returning in Original, Exterior and Sun mixes across the sequence. The fifteen-track vinyl programme runs from Phunk Baton to that closing Sun Mix, balancing melodic ideas with abrupt transitions and changing rhythmic detail. This edition includes a download.
