DJ Steaw - Colour Of Mind EP

Colour Of Mind brings four DJ Steaw productions to Kerri Chandler's Kaoz Theory label. The title track opens with shuffled drums, vocal chants, acid phrases and dub-influenced chords. Dance To The Rhythm follows with a more stripped-back combination of low-slung drums, echoing stabs and brief vocal cuts. On the reverse, I Can't Feel It combines a gritty bass hook and organ lines with crunchy percussion, before Star Ready closes with circling synthesizers, sustained bass and a deeper rhythmic feel. The EP moves through different shades of house across two tracks per side, keeping groove and texture at the centre.
