About this release
DJ Steaw returns to Kerri Chandler's Kaoz Theory with Get Back To The Fonk, a four-track EP built around deep house rhythm and jazz-influenced playing. The title track combines keys, short chord stabs and a bouncing bass line with swung drums and spoken vocals. Don't Stop moves into warmer territory through fluttering chords and strings. In My Body's House opens the reverse with piano, saxophone and organ, while Grey Matter closes with layered keyboards and skipping percussion. The twelve-inch follows Steaw's earlier Colour Of Mind EP for the label, bringing four original tracks together across two sides.
