About this release
Doctor House’s Mix To Groove documents the meeting of house and kwaito in Nelson Phetole Mohale’s early-nineties music. Originally released in 1994, the album followed his work as a session musician, programmer and member of PT House, the rap project co-written and produced by Danny Bridgens. Mohale had played for artists including Volcano, Senyaka and Obed Ngobeni before moving into programming for La Viva and Jivaro. Mono Horizon’s reissue returns to this stage of his career with a remaster from the original DAT tapes, bringing together the album’s eight tracks.
Format: Vinyl LP; remastered from original DAT tapes
