About this release
La Niche gathers Dominique Savioz’s recordings from 1984 to 1997 on Souvenirs, connecting funk, synth-pop and Balearic arrangements across seven tracks. Rendez-Vous Manqué and Papier Quadrillé first appeared through Jambo and Évasion Disques, while Ma Girl and Soleil De Minuit draw from his Intime and Nous Sommes Du Soleil records. The reverse adds previously unreleased material, including an instrumental Soleil De Minuit, a dub version of Papier Quadrillé and Sophrologie A. Fully licensed and remastered, the collection follows the Swiss artist’s movement between song-led electronic pop and more open instrumental production, with an insert accompanying the LP.
