About this release
Doug Gomez gives The Space Between Us two settings on Signals 3, with Fe Malefiz's vocal connecting the DeepMix and AfroSoulMix. The first version places her voice within a spacious deep house arrangement, while the second brings percussion further forward. The Red Room takes a more electronic route, with a darker atmosphere and a groove built around club-system space. To Do Good Na Em Dem Pay closes by drawing Afrobeat rhythm into a house framework. Released on Gomez's Merecumbe Recordings label, the four-track selection moves between vocal warmth, rhythmic detail and more direct low-end pressure.
