Dr Dunks feat. Zopelar - Plateau Alone EP

Eric Duncan returns as Dr Dunks for Plateau Alone, a three-track 12-inch EP on The Quiet Village featuring Brazilian producer Zopelar. Duncan’s work with Rub-N-Tug and Still Going draws together disco, house, funk and electro, while Zopelar brings a background in jazz, soul and Brazilian music.

The title track pairs syncopated electro synths with an ’80s-inspired funk groove and melodic bass. ‘Slow One Eleven’ eases the pace, working percussion, strings and rock accents into a steady rhythm. ‘88 Lights’ closes with low bass, dub chords and offbeat textures. It’s a varied Balearic set, moving from bright electronic funk towards a warmer, more relaxed finish.
