About this release
Leya Touch and soFa elsewhere combine as Dream Baby Dream for a self-titled album of treated vocals, synthesizers and dubbed-out rhythms. Written and produced at Rocket 23 Studios in Brussels, the nine-track set moves through cold wave, cosmic disco and trance without losing its off-centre pop sensibility. ‘Love Zone’ opens with echoing melodies and hazy vocals, while ‘Diskoteka’ brings whispered phrases into a jittery synth arrangement. ‘Banana Trance’ leans into twisting electronic textures, and ‘Carpenter On The Beach’ explores a more spacious dub atmosphere. Andreas Kauffelt handled mastering and the vinyl cut for this Hell Yeah Recordings LP.
