About this release
Secret Love is Dry Cleaning's third studio album, produced by Cate Le Bon after sessions that began in the band's Peckham rehearsal spaces. Florence Shaw, Tom Dowse, Nick Buxton and Lewis Maynard developed the music together, taking it through Chicago's Loft, Sonic Studios in Dublin and Black Box in France's Loire Valley. Shaw's spoken delivery meets guitar, bass and drums shaped by post-punk, no wave and more delicate fingerpicked passages. Trust runs through the record's themes, with Hit My Head All Day opening the sequence. This edition presents the eleven-track album on apricot vinyl.
