About this release
Simon Kennedy launches Dubplate Disco with two edits on the project’s own label. ‘Bank Statement’ leads the 12-inch with expressive vocals and bright, feel-good chords.
‘Somebody Else’ takes a slower route, building through funky guitar licks, synth hooks and vocal fragments. The two sides offer contrasting approaches to a shared disco foundation.
