About this release
Earth Leakage Trip’s ‘Psychotronic EP’ captures the experimental edge of early UK rave, bringing breakbeats, bleep and techno together with surreal sampled voices. Written by Neil Sanford and Simon Carter, it first appeared in 1991 as Moving Shadow’s inaugural release. ‘No Idea’ draws its distinctive children’s vocals from ‘Happy Monsters’, sitting alongside ‘Psychotronic’ and ‘Over 92’ in this three-track programme. Blank Mind’s reissue presents the music in a full picture sleeve, with illustration by Sanford and design by Sam Purcell. Graeme at The Exchange handles the mastering for a new edition of the original trio of tracks.
