About this release
Dance brings together three versions of Pal Joey's Earth People house recording. Built around disco samples and a repeating vocal hook, the track reflects the sample-led approach of early New York house. The club version occupies the A-side, while the reverse carries the dub and beats versions, shifting the focus towards the rhythm and instrumental elements. This Cabaret 12-inch edition was remastered for 2024 and preserves the original three-version pairing. The mixes offer different ways into the same groove, from the full arrangement to the stripped-back beats tool.
Format: 12-inch vinyl, 2024 remastered reissue
