About this release
Ed Nine – Out Of Line brings Chicago house swing to Mate Spain across four tracks on 12" vinyl. Deep chords, expressive vocals and acid touches give the EP a warm but purposeful feel, moving between the soulful side of house and more stripped-back material for the dancefloor.
Feel It In Your Soul opens with rich pads and an emotive vocal, before Free Acid turns towards sharper 303 lines. The title track loosens things up with a sunnier groove, while The Drum Tool 3 closes with raw rhythmic energy. That balance of melody, bass and percussion makes this a useful selection for DJs building a set through changes in texture.
