About this release
Eddie Richards – Be Still (Reissue) pairs two revisited tracks from the UK tech house mainstay’s catalogue on likethis. Across this 12" vinyl, the emphasis is on supple basslines, carefully placed percussion and the understated detail that keeps a groove moving. Both cuts draw on the deep, stripped-back sound associated with Richards and the Wiggle school of house.
Be Still (Revisit) builds around a springy bassline, crisp kicks and metallic percussion, with a whispered vocal adding an intimate feel. On the flip, AbsurED (Revisit) brings dub chords and dusty drum loops into focus, letting the rhythm and atmosphere do the work. Two patient, rolling tracks for late-night sets where a strong bassline and a little space can carry the room.
