About this release
Edits By Mr Thelonious digs into two records that helped shape decades of crate-digger culture, reworking them with patience and respect rather than heavy-handed reinvention.
On the A-side, The Blackbyrds' Mysterious Vibes is stretched into a smoky jazz-funk dub edit, while the flip draws out the emotion and grandeur of Tom Brock's Nothing In This World, a soul classic whose influence reaches deep into rare groove and hip-hop history.
