About this release
Eje Eje’s second Batov album brings Itamar Kluger’s studio experimentation together with strings, percussion, bass and keyboards, including a microtonal instrument for exploring different scales. Primordial Soup mixes Turkish folk and psychedelic-rock ideas with funk, dub and programmed rhythms, much of it performed and recorded by Kluger himself. Raz Man contributes drums, while Elad Kimchi and Adam Balagan appear on The Bride and Afternoon Glory. Oyun Çorbasi opens the record with a playful rhythmic blend; Horrorizon moves into a darker, more cinematic setting. Across twelve tracks, the album shifts between celebratory grooves and more inward-looking passages.
