ESA - ESA

Isle Of Jura presents the first official reissue of ESA's 1987 self-titled album. Produced by Martin Socko Moukoko, it captures the Paris Makossa meeting of Cameroonian rhythms, Antillean zouk and studio electronics, with A Muto leading a six-track set.

Brass, slap bass and layered vocals sit alongside programmed drums and synthesisers, while the rhythms draw on both makossa and bikutsi. Developed with Moukoko's estate, this 180g edition comes in a full sleeve designed by Bradley Pinkerton.
