About this release
Chapter 7 captures Ezra Collective’s early combination of jazz improvisation, Afrobeat rhythms and London club influences. Enter The Jungle and Chasing The Square introduce the group’s instrumental approach, while Ty joins the title track and Zara McFarlane features on I Have A God. This tenth-anniversary edition revisits the original five-track set with remastered sound and two live recordings: Chapter 7 at NPR’s Tiny Desk and I Have A God with McFarlane at the Royal Albert Hall. The added performances connect the band’s early material with its later stage work. Partisan’s vinyl edition comes in a single sleeve with a printed inner featuring credits and a band message.
