About this release
Out Of Sight brings together producer Dilouya, John Turrell and Sly Johnson as F.I.D.E.L, drawing on post-disco, boogie and new wave pop. Recorded during two week-long sessions in Paris, the album uses Prophet synthesizers, clavinet and drum machines to frame songs that combine social commentary with dancefloor rhythms. Turrell takes a central role on All About Love and Straight Down To Heaven, while Johnson appears on the title track and Star 51. Noraa contributes to Out Of Sight and Heartbeat, with Larry Houl joining Odd Things. This Bastard Jazz LP presents all ten tracks on black vinyl in a full-colour sleeve.
