About this release
Water No Get Enemy / Truth Don Die pairs two generations of the Kuti family with club remixes from Masters At Work and Kerri Chandler. Fela Kuti's 1975 recording occupies the first side, while the reverse carries two interpretations of Femi Kuti's Truth Don Die. Masters At Work, the partnership of Louie Vega and Kenny Dope Gonzalez, supply the first remix, with Chandler's version completing the record. The three-track selection places an Afrobeat original beside later house reworkings, keeping the original recording and the two remixes clearly separated across the vinyl.
