About this release
Felipe Gordon returns with Tezeta, a 2 x 12" Marbled Vinyl LP with Gatefold Sleeve on Shall Not Fade that stretches his jazz-flecked deep house into richer, more emotional territory.
Inspired by the melancholy and longing he hears in modal Ethio-jazz, Gordon blends rubbery bass guitar, dusty piano, sun-warmed jazz guitar and club-focused rhythm work into a wide-ranging set. Deep house, downtempo, trip-hop mood and Balearic lift all move through the record, making it one of his broadest statements yet.
