About this release
Crush brings the club-facing side of Floating Points into sharp focus. Made by Sam Shepherd over an intense five-week period, the 2019 Ninja Tune album draws on the freedom of his solo live performances, combining Buchla electronics with restless rhythms and passages of quieter, more reflective writing.
Across twelve tracks, the pressure of ‘LesAlpx’ and the intricate movement of ‘Last Bloom’ sit alongside the strings and spacious arrangements that make Shepherd’s music so distinctive. This ZEN259 edition comes on 140g black vinyl in a glossy sleeve, with a four-page booklet featuring the score for ‘Birth’ and a download code.
