About this release
The Power and the Blessing of Unity brings four different aspects of Folamour’s house and disco production together on Glitterbox. The title track opens with brass accents and a swinging disco rhythm, followed by the synth-led ‘Island of Recent Father’. ‘Let’s Grab Some Smokes’ introduces a more lo-fi approach before the record turns to ‘Home Beyond the Clouds’, which occupies the whole reverse side. Its house hooks and percussion close an EP that shifts between different textures while keeping melody and dance rhythms central. Originally released in 2017, the programme remains a four-track 12-inch.
