About this release
Four Tet's Late Night Tales selection traces the connections between jazz, hip hop, folk and experimental music. Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Tortoise, Linda Perhacs and Madvillain sit alongside less familiar discoveries, with Kieran Hebden's own version of Jimi Hendrix's ‘Castles Made Of Sand’ completing the picture. This remastered double LP presents seventeen selections as individual tracks. Originally issued in 2004, the compilation reached vinyl in 2013, with each selection mastered individually for the format.
