About this release
Frankey & Sandrino return to Rekids with two originals and an Echonomist remix. Please brings a smooth melody and nostalgic vocal into contact with a rolling bassline, giving the title track its open, emotional pull. Genie moves further into progressive territory, building through busy stabs and more futuristic sound design. Echonomist takes Please in a darker direction on the reverse, stripping the arrangement back to a hypnotic groove and allowing its rhythmic detail to carry the tension. The three versions share a melodic sensibility while offering different levels of density, from the original’s fuller sweep to the remix’s leaner shape.
