About this release
The Score brings the Fugees’ rap, singing and sample-based production into a broad, song-led album. Released in 1996, the trio’s second studio record moves between the tightly traded verses of How Many Mics and Zealots, the melodic hooks of Ready or Not and Fu-Gee-La, and their interpretations of Killing Me Softly with His Song and No Woman, No Cry. The contrast between those approaches gives the album its shape, with ensemble performances and individual voices sharing the foreground. This Columbia double-vinyl edition presents the thirteen-track sequence, opening with Red Intro and closing with Manifest / Outro.
