Fumio Miyashita - White Morning

Ambient Sans brings Fumio Miyashita’s White Morning to vinyl for the first time. Recorded at Biwa Studio in 1989 and originally released on CD in 1991, the album sits between Japanese ambient, environmental music and new age. Its two extended pieces use soft synthesizer layers and delicate acoustic textures to create a quiet, unhurried space.

“Mezame: See The Light” and “Asa No Inori: Morning Prayer” reflect Miyashita’s interest in music made for rest and concentration. There’s no need for a busy arrangement here: the appeal lies in the small shifts in tone and the room around each sound. A natural choice for listeners exploring the calmer side of Japanese electronic music.
