About this release
Paul Woolford reworks Gabriels' Angels & Queens for the club, placing Jacob Lusk's vocal over TR-909 drums, bass and rising piano hooks. The song comes from the trio's debut album, with the remix giving its soul foundation a house setting. This three-track twelve-inch includes the Paul Woolford Special Request Mix on the A-side, then the original version and Special Request Radio Edit on the reverse. The combination makes the relationship between the source recording and remix easy to hear, while the radio edit offers a shorter counterpart to the full club version.
