About this release
Garth's Special Part Of My Life / The Groove returns on Love Poet Productions, a 7" vinyl carrying the oddball charm of late 70s and early 80s disco from the stranger corners of New York and Los Angeles.
'Special Part Of My Life' opens in warm, soulful territory before gradually turning more feverish and floor-facing. On the flip, 'The Groove' heads somewhere murkier, with wiggling synth effects and hovering atmospherics giving the record a faintly eerie, irresistible edge.
