About this release
Dansu Discs marks its 100th release with Origins Vol. 1, a four-artist 12-inch tracing the label's journey through contemporary house. The compilation moves from the imprint's lo-fi beginnings with X-Coast to the sharper new-wave house sound of Gaskin and LP Rhythm.
Gaskin opens with Anthem, X-Coast supplies The Realest Oh La La and LP Rhythm keeps the floor moving with People Dancing. Amsterdam newcomer Renceau closes the record with the high-energy piano-house rush of I'm Addicted.
