About this release
Gateway Jones opens the Focus 21 catalogue with an original disco recording built around symphonic strings, keyboards and a tight bassline. Choral vocals give To Be With You Again its expansive character, setting the melodic arrangement over a direct dancefloor rhythm. The reverse presents an instrumental version, bringing the same strings, keys and bass into focus without the vocal lead. The pairing lets the arrangement's orchestral detail work in two forms, connecting the production to the sweep and emotional lift of classic disco.
