About this release
George Faith’s “I’ve Got The Groove” appears in two dubplate mixes, drawn from recordings made with Lee “Scratch” Perry at the Black Ark in the mid-1970s. Released through Studio 16’s Black Art Dubplate Style series, the record presents two treatments of the same song, giving Faith’s performance a different setting on each side. The focus stays on this vocal recording and its Black Ark production.
