About this release
The Reflex revisits two Gibson Brothers recordings for the fourth Discolidays collaboration with the Zagora catalogue. Heaven, drawn from the group's 1978 album of the same name, is reshaped around forceful drums, bright strings and a piano breakdown, with the tempo brought to 130 BPM. You comes from the 1979 Cuba album and works at the same pace, giving its chords, percussion and ensemble playing a new arrangement. Both revisions come from recovered multitrack recordings, allowing individual parts to be brought forward and rebalanced. The release is pressed on 180g vinyl in a card sleeve with artwork by Al Kent.
