About this release
Saint Wax founder Eduardo Barbi, better known as Gledd, opens the Gleddits series with five edits drawing on funk, disco and soul. Gleddits 001 moves from spoken-word passages and choral vocals to chunky basslines and full-bodied disco arrangements, giving each cut its own character while keeping the dancefloor in view.
Street Preacher sets the tone with its spoken-word lead and choral backing, followed by the bass-driven Stevie's Word. On the flip, Do It For Me brings a gospel influence, Under The Moonlight turns towards disco, and Your Love closes the record with prominent horns, chords and vocals. A varied five-track selection on 12-inch vinyl.
