About this release
Glenn Davis returns to Selections with The Journey EP, drawing on the warm, understated side of classic Chicago and New York deep house. The title track opens with supple drums and glowing Rhodes figures, while Love Is softens the mood with hazy vocal touches and richly layered keys. On the flip, Free Your Mind adds firmer rhythmic pressure without losing the record’s intimate feel. Da Jazz closes with brushed percussion, light piano motifs and a loose, rolling swing. The Dublin producer keeps the focus on the relationship between keys and rhythm, giving the EP a consistent atmosphere across its changing levels of energy.
