About this release
Glenn Echo and Daniel Meinecke follow their cover of I Need Somebody To Love Tonight with two contrasting originals for Sweet Breeze Sound. Home Rule sets Meinecke's synthesizers within a layered, sample-driven midtempo house production by Glenn Echo, also known as Marc Meistro. Love Letter slows the pace and brings Meinecke's clavinet forward over psychedelic funk textures, with a nod to 1970s cosmic synth-rock. Written by Meinecke and produced by Echo, the reverse gives the keyboard playing a more prominent role. Both tracks were mixed at Sweet Breeze Studio in Washington, DC, and the 7-inch comes in the label's company jacket.
