About this release
Rhythms, Tales & Instrumentation brings two vocal-led Gratts productions and a Glenn Davis remix together on WOLF Music. Pretty Lights features Brandon Markell Holmes on vocals and Leïto on keys, pairing a warm bass line with a gently melancholic house arrangement. Polaroids takes the reverse into a more club-focused setting, with Tee Amara singing over piano, bumping drums and bit-crushed synthesizers. Dublin producer Glenn Davis then reworks Polaroids with deeper drums, pads and synth textures, giving the vocal a different setting. The three-track twelve-inch connects soulful songwriting with deep house production across an original on each side and a closing remix.
