About this release
Greg Foat's The Rituals of Infinity draws on science-fiction books and Greek mythology across seven compositions. The keyboardist leads an ensemble featuring Art Themen on soprano and tenor saxophones, Trevor Walker on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Katherine Farnden on cor anglais. Natcyet Wakili's drums and Jasper Osbourne's bass guitar shape the rhythm section, while Shawn Lee adds waterphone textures. Titles such as A Private Cosmos and The Dark Labyrinth reflect the album's literary inspiration, with Minerva's Owl bringing the sequence to a close. Released by Ameritz Music, the LP presents the full seven-track programme.
