About this release
Hannah Cohen's Earthstar Mountain gathers four years of life in the Catskills into a set of songs about curiosity, memory and connection. Made with her partner and collaborator Sam Evian at their Flying Cloud studio between 2020 and 2024, the album lets details from different moments settle into a shared musical landscape. Sufjan Stevens, Clairo, Sean Mullins, Liam Kazar and Oliver Hill are among the contributors, adding to the sense of a record built within a close creative community. From “Dusty” and “Draggin'” to “Baby You're Lying” and “Dog Years”, Cohen keeps the songs personal and reflective. This Bella Union edition is pressed on yellow vinyl.
