About this release
What A Funky Night brings Harri Stojka Express's Viennese boogie and electro-funk recording back to vinyl in its full-length original version. Electronic rhythms, synthesizers and vocal exchanges shape the A-side, while Marihuana takes a more reggae-influenced route on the reverse. The B-side uses an earlier version recorded during the Camera album sessions, rather than the faster performance associated with Tight. Unearthed during the reissue process, this Camera Version makes a different pairing for the title song. Funkscapes' 12-inch edition is remastered from the original analogue master tapes and comes in a picture sleeve, with the original artwork and liner notes.
