About this release
Hekura’s Two Lonely Space Pilots brings saxophonist Edu Pons and guitarist and producer Ernest Pipó into a shared world of minimal repetition and open-ended sound. The Barcelona duo draw on jazz, improvisation and modern composition, connecting scattered percussion with shimmering textures and hypnotic saxophone patterns. Their nine pieces move between close, reflective passages and more expansive arrangements, shaped by a musical conversation that began during their studies at Taller De Músics. Bytheriver returns in a second form midway through the sequence, with Twolonelyspacepilots, Umbrellasonparade and Whatkindoflove leading towards the close. Released by Hegoa, the album holds experimentation and a quiet sense of atmosphere together.
