About this release
J Dilla's Donuts turns short, sample-built pieces into a continuous instrumental album, moving from Donuts (Outro) through Workinonit, Waves and Don't Cry to Welcome To The Show. Originally released on his birthday in February 2006, the record began as a demo tape before developing into a full-length release. This 20th anniversary Audiophile Edition presents the complete 31-track sequence across two 180g LPs running at 45rpm. Lacquers were cut at Bernie Grundman and the records manufactured at Fidelity Record Pressing, with a deluxe art-printed Stoughton jacket completing the package. The edition retains the original album programme.
