About this release
Recorded in Martin Fisher's Stockport studio, Never Go Home carries the DIY approach of J-Walk's Broken Beauty into a single shaped by late-1980s indie psychedelia. Spacemen 3, Nick Nicely and The Field Mice provide reference points for its meeting of indie songwriting and dub production. On the reverse, Dub Never Go rearranges the song's stems into a more spacious, abstract version, letting the dub elements take the lead. Written and recorded by Fisher and produced as J-Walk, the release comes in a homemade envelope sleeve that is stamped and numbered.
