About this release
Jaimie branch's second Fly or Die album captures her quartet at a turning point, with Lester St. Louis joining on cello alongside bassist Jason Ajemian and drummer Chad Taylor. Recorded at London's Total Refreshment Centre and Café OTO in November 2018, it moves between tightly linked instrumental passages, open improvisation and branch's singing on Prayer For Amerikkka and Love Song. This IA11 edition presents the nine-track album on black 140g vinyl in a heavyweight reverse-board jacket, with a 16-page booklet of photographs and new notes by Soledad “Sally” Branch and Ajemian, plus an updated obi and poly-lined inner sleeve.
