About this release
Jamie xx's debut solo album In Colour draws together house, UK garage, rave and dancehall influences. Originally released in 2015, it moves from the bass and vocal samples of Gosh to the steel drums of Obvs and the quieter Stranger In A Room. Fellow xx members Romy and Oliver Sim contribute vocals, while Young Thug and Popcaan appear on I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times). Loud Places brings Romy's voice into a sample-led arrangement, linking the album's reflective passages with its dancefloor moments. This remastered Young Turks vinyl edition contains the complete eleven-track album.
